094- 12 Days of Christmas Quiet Time Day 5: Luke 6

During the month of December, I like to read the book of Luke. Honestly, mainly because it’s 24 chapters and I can read the whole book if I read one chapter a day. But also because it’s a book written to the Gentiles, and a sweet reminder that Jesus came for all of us, and that he came, ultimately to die as a final sacrifice for our sins. The birth of Jesus would mean nothing if it weren’t for his death and resurrection that happened some 33 years later. 

In Luke 6, we find Jesus with his disciples picking, and eating, grain on the Sabbath day *gasp.* Jesus's response: I am the Lord of the Sabbath.

What does that mean for us today?

You ARE a Bible reader.
You CAN understand God's Word.
You WILL be changed by what you learn.

And, in turn, the Word of God will change your family, your community, and your world.
